Norms applicable to: 2026–2027
Official Sources and Version
Our Methodology uses Curriculum Associates' official Diagnostic Technical Data Tables, including its complete score-to-percentile crosswalk and separate percentile-to-score threshold sheets. The workbook identifies these norms as beginning with 2024–2025.
The publisher's June 2026 national norms report confirms that the same norm edition applies to 2026–2027. Its reference population is from the 2022–2023 school year. A norm edition does not change automatically each school year.
Score-to-Percentile Lookup
For the selected grade, subject, and testing season, the calculator finds the integer score in the official crosswalk. All scores from 100 through 800 are covered. We do not interpolate between a small sample of percentile points or infer an official grade-level placement.
The reference sheets and the lookup have different directions: a percentile threshold in a chart is not always a unique score-to-percentile answer. Rounded thresholds can repeat. For an individual score, the calculator uses the dedicated score-to-percentile crosswalk.
Validation and Ambiguous PDF Cells
The import checks every K–8 score mapping across both subjects and all three seasons: 37,854 values. It verifies complete score coverage and nondecreasing percentile ranks. Source URLs, workbook sheet names, and a file fingerprint are retained with the datasets.
Text extracted from the PDF includes a few malformed or omitted intervals. The structured workbook resolves those lookups; we do not guess replacement bounds. This site remains an independent implementation, so use the school report for official results and decisions.
Placement and Growth Are Separate Measures
Read official grade-level placement and domain results in the school report. Our placement guide explains the publisher's definitions. A national median is not a grade-level proficiency cutoff.
The Growth Tracker reports actual differences between scores and their seasonal percentiles. It does not generate individual Typical Growth or Stretch Growth targets, predict a Spring score, or assess whether a student met those targets.
Limits of Interpretation
A percentile describes relative standing, not percentage correct, mastery of every skill, readiness for an advanced class, or likely performance on another test. Confirm the norm edition used by the school and discuss the full report with the teacher.
